Aceh Singkil - The incident where an electricity pole fell and hit a truck in Aceh Singkil on August 10 2024 attracted public attention. However, the police's quick response and efficiency in controlling traffic at the scene deserves praise.
According to Simpang Kanan Police Chief, AKP Arianto, the incident occurred due to heavy rain which caused the ground around the electricity pole to become unstable and unable to support the weight of the pole.
Luckily there were no casualties in this incident, and the truck driver only experienced shock. "Simpang Kanan Police personnel manage traffic effectively, so that traffic jams do not get worse," said Arianto.
Meanwhile, the Police have also coordinated with PLN to immediately evacuate the fallen electricity poles and restore traffic flow.
Until now, officers are still guarding the area to ensure smooth traffic flow. The public is advised to remain careful when passing through this area, especially during extreme weather conditions. "The police will continue to monitor the situation and take further action if necessary," stressed Arianto.
